I know it’s hard to believe, but the back to school ads are flooding the television, which means summer is unfortunately on its way out. Many kids have already began packing up bedrooms and preparing to leave the nest for their first time and believe it or not, under all that dirty laundry lies some pretty valuable items. We know the last thing on their mind is wondering how much contents or liability coverage they have, but it is a very important question to be asked. Between the new computers, cell phones, iPods, clothing, TV’s etc… the costs can really start to add up.

In some comprehensive homeowner policies, contents and liability coverage is automatically included for any student who is attending college or university and who is dependent on the named insured. But unfortunately in some other policies this could be an additional coverage, which would have to be added.
