We'll be giving away snacks, warm beverages, stickers, and other swag to all participants. It's a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the crisp November air, engage in meaningful conversations, and contribute to a worthy cause. Grab your friends, put on your best mustache (real or fake), and join us for an afternoon of fun and philanthropy.
Whitby Lights the Night
When: Friday, November 24, 2023, at 6:30 pm
Where: Whitby Civic Park, located at 555 Rossland Road East
Whitby Civic Park and Celebration Square will be ablaze with spectacular illuminations this season. The community will come alive with over 100,000 magical lights and ground displays, transforming Downtown Whitby and Brooklin into a winter wonderland. Snowflakes will line the streets of Downtown Whitby, seasonal décor will adorn Downtown Brooklin, and a magnificent 30 ft. tree will stand tall in Civic Park. The grand kick-off of the festive season will occur at Whitby Civic Park, located at 555 Rossland Road East, on November 24, 2023, at 6:30 pm.

Professors of Funk Friends & Family Christmas Special
When: Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Step away from traditional festivities and immerse yourself in the soulful rhythm of the Professors of Funk Friends & Family Christmas Special. Established in 2014, this annual concert for the Back Door Mission has quickly become one of Oshawa and Durham's signature holiday events. Setting the stage at the historic landmark Simcoe Street United Church, built in 1867, the Professors of Funk, a 9-piece powerhouse, will be joined by talented guests in a performance that continues the tradition as an annual holiday highlight. Port Perry Scugog Santa Claus Parade
